UBC Dance Team
at the University of British Columbia
Established in 2009, the UBC Dance Team is a dance company composed of UBC students with several years of competitive experience. The company's members come from a variety of dance backgrounds, and our choreography incorporates many varying genres including contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and tap. Although we are mostly self-choreographed, we are fortunate to be able to work alongside guest choreographers every year.
We perform at various fundraisers and events at UBC and in the Greater Vancouver area such as the Wesbrook Village Festival, Storm the Wall, Relay for Life, Get Schooled, and UBC Kinesiology Week. As a team, we strive to build collaborative relationships with other UBC clubs and organizations, such as World Vision and UBC REC.
A passion for dance is difficult to let go of and the UBC Dance Team allows committed dancers an opportunity to pursue their academic studies while enjoying high-caliber dance training on the beautiful UBC Campus.
